Araque Photo is led by Jose and Mary. More than a team, we are a married couple who found in photography a way to understand and preserve what truly matters: love. In every couple, we see a reflection of ourselves.

Our passion for creating visual narratives began over 4,500 kilometers away from Florida—in Venezuela. Jose started as an assistant, then as a second shooter, eventually building his path as an independent wedding photographer. Over time, that journey met something even more meaningful: our own story together.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple: a wedding is never just a schedule, a full day of work, or another event. It’s your dream day, a defining moment, a deeply personal milestone, something you’ve been waiting and hoping for. What it means to you matters just as much to us.

We don’t see ourselves as vendors, we become part of your team. Our working philosophy is to document without interrupting or making you feel observed. To preserve the magic of what unfolds naturally, allowing each moment to exist as it is. So you can live your day fully, without feeling like a camera is following you, even though we’re always there.

We believe in an aesthetic that transcends time. We respect trends, but we don’t build our work around them. We lean toward the classic, what feels just as relevant today as it will years from now.

There’s a subtle nod to film in our process, with the intentional use of grain to bring texture and depth, without losing a sense of naturalness.

Our approach to image development is about preserving the essence of each moment through a soft, balanced, and honest palette. A finish that doesn’t compete with emotion, but quietly supports it.

There’s a part of our work that almost no one asks about, but it changes everything.

When the music fades and the day comes to an end, the responsibility for everything that happened rests entirely in our hands. And that’s something we never take lightly.

Every image we capture is backed up in real time. We shoot with dual memory cards, creating duplicate files from the moment they’re made. From there, your images are stored across multiple devices, with mirrored backups to ensure their safety. We also carry backup equipment at all times, because redundancy isn’t optional, it’s essential.

Because we understand something very simple: a wedding cannot be repeated. And there is no value that could ever replace those memories.

That’s why we protect every image with the same level of care with which it was lived.

Some of our additional services take place before the wedding, capturing those final moments as a couple, just before everything changes. An engagement session is designed to document that anticipation and emotion leading up to the day.

You can use it as a save-the-date, as part of your wedding design, or simply as a way to preserve who you are before the celebration begins.

A trash the dress experience invites you to return, but from a different place. Free from the pace of the wedding day, free from the weight of time.

It’s the chance to wear the dress again with calm, to move with freedom, and to reconnect with what you felt. Here, there’s no protocol, only intention. More than “ruining” the dress, these sessions are about creating something unique and personal in a relaxed setting, often in locations and conditions that wouldn’t be possible on the wedding day .
